How BuyFlow works with QuickBooks Online

BuyFlow uses the QuickBooks Online API to read vendor data, create purchase orders after approval, store the returned purchase order reference, and attach receipts to the matching purchase order.

Your team still works in Slack for request submission and approval. QuickBooks Online stays the accounting system of record for vendors, purchase orders, and receipt attachments.

How to get started

BuyFlow can be set up by a workspace admin. After Slack and QuickBooks Online are connected, employees can request purchases in Slack and finance can keep accounting records in QuickBooks Online.

  1. 1. Create a BuyFlow account or log in with an existing workspace admin account.
  2. 2. Connect your Slack workspace so employees can submit and approve purchase requests.
  3. 3. Authorize your QuickBooks Online company from BuyFlow Settings.
  4. 4. Use Slack to submit a request; after approval, BuyFlow creates the purchase order in QuickBooks Online.
